Mission:

The purpose of this organization shall be to promote and advance the interests of the residents of Montgomery County living in the upper portion of the county comprised by the communities of Olney, Montgomery Village, Germantown, Clarksburg, Damascus, Poolesville and elsewhere in the Agricultural Reserve.

By encouraging and sponsoring the presentation of testimony before planning boards and regulatory entities and through the participation of our members in the affairs and activities of Smart Growth policy development for Montgomery County, we shall assist and promote activities which are congruent with all the elements of a good quality of life in our county.

We shall also educate and advocate for policies that we determine are vital to the concerns of this area, keeping in mind that there are needs for homes, schools, businesses, transportation, recreation, conservation, and agriculture, which may not always share common goals.

We shall work to find common ground.
